Key qualifications and experiences: ESSENTIAL: Recognised postgraduate degree (MA or PhD level) in fields of business management, innovation management, service design. Ideally, a combination of two degrees from two different fields. Fluent in Chinese and in English to manage Studio intO’s Asian clients and projects Minimum of 6 year of experience in the industry and in managing international projects. Extensive knowledge and expertise with service design processes and service design innovation brands. Experience in working with clients from Asia and a demonstrate deep knowledge of the Chinese market and business development. Extensive experience in qualitative research, with experience in cross-cultural market research studies, deep knowledge of methods such as ethnography, user testing, trends analysis. Commercially driven and able to present a comprehensive and compelling business cases for clients to negotiate budgets. Experienced in setting up and managing multidisciplinary teams according to the skills required for different project demands. OTHER IMPORTANT EXPERINCES: Have the experience in working within a variety of industries. Background in working in service innovation and digital products. Confidence and a proven track record of juggling a number of projects at once, often at different stages of completion. Proven to maintain strong working relationships with clients over time. Ability to write to a high standard Ability to effectively prioritise and deliver to deadlines Analytical skill to interpret data based on fieldwork performance Experienced in conducting 1:1 interviews, running live prototype sessions or engaging with users remotely. Proactive, self-sufficient and profession, with strong organisational, time management and communication skills. Able to design and facilitate workshops with clients. Passionate and enthusiastic about design approaches solving business problems. Key tasks and responsibilities Leading new business activities: approaching new clients, facilitating new business meetings, finding out what the client or company wants to achieve. Write compelling proposals: agrees timescales, costs and resources needed; draws up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of the project. Setting up project teams, review project leads, ensures that each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards. Drive the business direction of Studio intO, focus on business development in China in particular, manage our Chinese local researchers and clients. Formulating both reactive and proactive responses to new business opportunities. Ensuring the intO's strategic objectives and plans which have been set are being met. Analysing and monitoring the progress of its employees towards achieving the goals and targets set. Designing new approaches to innovation and research and have a proactive attitude in creating innovative solutions for our clients. Make autonomous decisions when a problem arises with project developments. To update stakeholders on project progress throughout fieldwork and inform that of any action plans required to ensure timely delivery. Travel within the UK and internationally in particular China. Deliver compelling and articulate presentation using various tools and techniques to support spoken content. Coordinate market scoping activities to provide a rationale for innovation recommendations. Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to encourage sustainable business relations and networking for future contract opportunities. Key Skills Leadership Skills – be able to manage an organisation by successfully coordinating staff, resources, and implementing policies effectively, so strong leadership skills are vital to this position. Time Management – work on various tasks at once and need to be self-motivated, as often they are completing these tasks under their direction.
