Neighbourhood Assistant (Full-Time – 37 hours per week) Base of Work: Neighbourhood Team – West Cumbria, Workington Salary - £25,536 p.a. - £28,371 p.a. A vacancy has arisen for a Neighbourhood Assistant in the Neighbourhood Team, based in West Cumbria. The Neighbourhood Assistant is an important part of the Team and the post will assist in the delivery of an excellent Neighbourhood Service. The main duties include: Assisting the Neighbourhood Officers to allocate and let Impact’s homes in the West and across Cumbria where required. This involves placing adverts on the County Wide Cumbria Choice system, assisting with shortlisting, viewing with applicants and carrying out a range of tasks associated with the allocation and letting of Impact’s homes. This would include tenancy visits in people’s homes where required and so involves travel throughout West Cumbria Assisting with the delivery of Impact’s Anti-Social Behaviour Service. This would include effectively logging reports to Impact’s IT system, carrying out initial interviews with the people involved and following up end of case closure with satisfaction interviews. General administration and support to the Neighbourhood Officers in the West. Assisting with the delivery of the effective estate management of Impact’s homes and communities. This will include supporting the Officers to carry out estate and scheme walkabouts and visits, the development and management of local offers and plans and the administration of this process. The post will also include assisting in the whole range of housing services that the Neighbourhood Team delivers; so we are looking for someone with excellent team working skills, the ability to work on their own initiative, good IT and administrative skills as well as having outstanding customer service skills and be able to manage a busy workload. The post will involve some out of hours working and Impact operates a flexible working system to manage this expectation. The post holder must have a current valid driving licence and access to a car for business purposes.
