To ensure activity undertaken ultimately contributes to internal and external customer satisfaction, whilst nurturing relationships with stores, ensuring information is communicated to store in a timely way. 2. To be responsible for the co-ordination of daily transport routes and planning, ensuring maximum vehicle utilisation and load consolidation as required. 3. Responsible for daily backhaul schedules and driver’s paperwork. 4. To contribute to providing the most cost effective service to our stores, reducing logistics cost where possible. 5. To debrief drivers on a daily basis, creating reports of all activity undertaken and acting on any issues raised. 6. Ensure all drivers adhere to drivers hour and working time directive legislation and signed records are kept to verify that any transgressions have been communicated to drivers in question. 7. To be an active member of the team ensuring support and co-operation is given to other members to assist achievement of distribution objectives. 8. To develop your team in order to maintain effectiveness in their roles. 9. To be aware of the Health and Safety requirements and other company policies in respect of Health and Safety issues. To be an effective role model in this area. 10. To demonstrate and role model the Booths values and present a smart and professional image at all times.
