The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role. 37 hours per week Location: Barrow, usually based at Newbridge House An opportunity has risen for an experienced and dynamic Social Worker to join Cumbria Youth Offending Service. Based in Barrow in Furness, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach and will possess specialist working knowledge of social work and youth justice practice in children's services, experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and their families.  The role will require a good knowledge of child development, a high level of analytical skills to undertake comprehensive assessments and a dynamic approach to planning, sequencing and delivering interventions (group work and one to one) which address need and protect victims. You will be working with 10-17yr olds to address and reduce offending behaviour and harm caused. Appointment to this post is subject to enhanced vetting checks Interview Date 15/05/2018
