Hillthwaite House  Hotel is an established family-run establishment known for its friendly, warm and welcoming service. We are in a classic setting, a short walk from England’s largest natural lake, with spectacular views of the South Lakeland fells. We have 34 bedrooms, a variety of recently refurbished lounges, and a contemporary bar and restaurant - as well as on site leisure facilities. Job Summary We are currently looking to recruit a full time commis chef to join our long standing kitchen brigade. This is a great opportunity to work flexible hours in a hospitality environment. You would be undertaking various food prep and service duties, with the chance to improve or develop your current skills with long term opportunities. Job Summary We are currently looking to recruit a CDP to join our friendly kitchen brigade. Hours to be confirmed with options for part-time/ full time with a mixture of straight and split shifts. Our family owned hotel has 34 bedrooms, and the dining room serves on average 30-50 covers for breakfast and dinner so organisation is paramount, with the ability to send out a consistently high standard of dishes to all our residents. Excellent opportunity to join the team at our independent hotel situated in Windermere with spectacular lake views and a friendly atmosphere. The hotel has recently undergone a lot of refurbishments and is known as a superb dining destination in the lakes, offering the best of locally sourced cuisine to all its residents, in addition to serving afternoon teas, lunches and bar snacks to locals and tourist alike. You will need to have experience in a similar establishment with a positive and friendly attitude. Preferably you will have good verbal and written English with the ability to stay organised and work under pressure. Positioned centrally between Bowness and Windermere it is the ideal opportunity to be local to these exciting towns, while having opportunities to work up to 30-40+ hours a week. We are ideally looking for a couple but individuals are welcome to apply. Previous experience working in a similar hospitality roles would be preferred. Your position as a General Assistant would include you undertaking tasks such as serving in the restaurant, helping guests, clearing tables, bar work (depending on experience or after training that can be given), basic cleaning, and general hospitality duties.
