Head of People - Liverpool Salary up to £80k DOE plus extensive benefits My client a leading and well known national established Law firm based in Liverpool is looking to recruit a talented Head of People to join their growing and highly reputable company. If you are looking for that perfect opportunity where you can grow and develop within a well established, highly reputable Law firm then this is the role for you. Key roles for the Head of People role: Provide technical advice and support to firm on matters of employment law, practice and procedure; Handle any internal employment law disputes/matters which may arise; Assist in the operation of an Employment Law helpline for LEI insurers; Liaise with any external lawyers appointed by the firm ensuring any internal employment law disputes are handled efficiently and confidentially; Manage any employment law cases/disputes upon which the firm may be instructed; Ensure any IT developments are appropriately implemented; Ensure the business is kept up to date with the external employment relations landscape including the provision of briefings and training as appropriate. Manage the external employment law provision for the business. Contribute to business strategy and ensure people strategy is central to this; Hold the exec team to account ensuring they fulfil their roles as leaders and role models; Act as custodian for company culture and help the exec to do the right thing - promoting core values; Lead an effective and efficient HR team; Ensure HR strategy is translated into common sense policy and practice; Establish best practice talent management strategy ensuring effective recruitment, development and performance management frameworks; Ensure effective use of systems and technology to enhance HR service provision including the use of meaningful MI.
