Associate Senior Leader: Curriculum Development

TLR 3 £1500 per annum and allocation of 2 free lessons from September 2020.

Temporary from May 2020 until August 2021.

Associate senior leaders are required for the following subject areas:

Business & IT
Design & Technology
Geography
History
MFL
Performing Arts
Physical Education

This new leadership role provides an excellent opportunity for a Curriculum Team Leader or subject leader to experience working at a senior level which is Trust wide.

Following a comprehensive consultation process in April 2020, the Trust Board has approved the implementation of the two year GCSE model from September 2020.

As an Associate Senior Leader for your subject area, you will lead the preparation for the new curriculum launch between May and September 2020. You will regularly meet with subject practitioners from across the Trust to direct the re-mapping of your curriculum area. You will also co-ordinate the production of new schemes of work and lessons for all year groups, as required. You will also lead regular quality assurance processes and provide progress reports for the Trust’s executive team and for the Trust Board. You will be an advocate for your subject and passionate about a providing a rich experience for all learners in years 7, 8 and 9 as well as pioneering a highly effective GCSE/Key stage 4 programme of study.

You will be supported by the Trust’s senior leaders and the Trust’s executive leadership team to ensure that you can develop a high quality curriculum at pace, which will inspire all learners to ‘Dream Big’ and to achieve positive outcomes.

Interview Process

Following an invitation to attend an interview, you will be required to submit a PowerPoint presentation by 09:00 on the day of your interview to . The presentation should outline your vision for your subject and how you would lead on developing and implementing your curriculum. The presentation should take no longer than 10 minutes.

Please note interviews will be conducted through ‘Teams’ and take place on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th May 2020.
