Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a modern building, with excellent on site facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, hair & beauty salons and fine dining restaurant.

Based in the heart of Yorkshire we have multiple learning centres across Kirklees, serving the local population, communities and businesses.

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, committed and innovative individual who will work with adult learners in the Access to HE department and as part of a dynamic and successful team within a well-established Further Education college.

We are looking for someone who has experience of teaching in this subject area, or someone who has had substantial industrial experience and looking for a change in their career. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C), and a degree or equivalent qualification in a Psychology or Sociology discipline. A Level 5 Teaching Qualification or willingness to undertake this within an agreed timescale is also required.
