We are brave, we are ambitious, we are honest, we are Citizens!

One of the UK’s most trusted social housing providers, Citizen owns and manages 30,000 homes across the West Midlands for diverse communities, from urban tower blocks to rural villages and towns. We provide more than just homes; we provide homes that are a foundation for life.

The coronavirus pandemic has significantly disrupted the repairs service we provide to our customers and we are already preparing to work through the huge demand there will be when we are able to safely resume our full service.

We are looking for Carpenters to join our high-performing Maintenance Operations Team. Interested candidates should be qualified to NVQ 2 or City & Guilds in Carpentry and have a full valid UK driving licence.

Candidates must be able to evidence experience of carrying out basic repairs associated with their core trade – for example PVCu repairs, glazing, basic plumbing, tiling and plaster patching. Experience of working in a repairs and maintenance setting in social housing would be ideal but is not essential. Successful candidates will work 37 hours per week and will be assigned to one of our teams in Coventry, Birmingham or Worcester.

In this role you will be part of a 400-strong team which prides itself on delivering responsive repairs of the highest standard safely and efficiently. You will be provided with a company vehicle, uniform, full PPE and a hand-held device (PDA/smart phone).

We want people who are committed to completing repairs right first time, are health and safety conscious, and pride themselves on great customer service.

Does this sound like a team you want to be part of? If it is, we look forward to receiving your application.
