An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Curriculum Area Manager for maths and English.
The successful post holder will have a passion for their curriculum area and up to date knowledge of GCSE/FS syllabus. Working across all college sites and covering 16-18 study programmes, adult provision, apprenticeships and community learning provision, you will lead, motivate, develop and manage the maths and English curriculum team. You will have a proven track record of improving standards in English and/or maths that will drive learners towards their aspirational destinations.
Having worked in a similar role or ready for your next step into Middle Management, you will bring a motivational, target driven approach and drive to build a dynamic and successful team and will be able to utilise staff resources and maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
To be considered for this role you must hold a relevant degree, a minimum of a level 4 qualification in Maths or English and be a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE qualification or equivalent, with demonstrable experience of working in a cross college role. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
