Founded in 1802 and situated within 2,000 acres of stunning North Yorkshire countryside, Ampleforth College is a co-educational boarding school educating students within a Benedictine community of faith and scholarship. Most students are full boarders, joining the school from Yorkshire, across the UK and around the world.
The Trust is looking to recruit a high performing IT and Digital Services Manager to take overall responsibility for their IT infrastructure, its operation and strategic development, focusing on providing excellent customer service, while ensuring good stewardship of the IT resources serving Ampleforth Abbey and College. The role includes management of the data network, IT infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate several years’ broad management experience within IT services, be comfortable forming strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, have the ability to manage and implement change and to manage technical details and direct technical staff.
The role includes management of a small and dedicated team covering all aspects of IT from day-to-day service delivery to strategic planning. Ensuring all duties are carried out alongside the Benedictine Core Values in the most cost-effective and efficient way, demonstrating all due care to safer practice for children and for all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
