On the back of this continued success, we are looking to hire a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us as a key ambassador for the business, ensuring that we can continue to bring together world-class developers who love to build fun, quality, independent games; and allow Team 17 to continue to champion our independent spirit.

Job Purpose

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment process for all departments across video game production and publishing. Working as part of the Talent Acquisition team, you will support Team17’s continued growth and ensure a smooth and sustainable recruitment process for all stakeholders.

You will also support the Talent Acquisition Manager on key strategic recruitment projects to help transform Team17’s Talent Acquisition department into one that is known for being savvy, principled and inventive in its approach to hiring.

Key Responsibilities


Manage the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for roles of all levels of seniority within the business
Follow Team17’s agreed Talent Acquisition processes to ensure a thorough, consistent, fair and objective selection process for each candidate
Support and advise hiring managers in the recruitment and selection process
Ensure that at every stage, Team 17 are providing the most positive candidate experience possible
Partner with the HR Business Partner and relevant Heads of Department to ensure recruitment and hiring decisions are aligned to annual resource plans and the overall People Strategy

Talent Attraction and Brand Reputation

Represent Team17 at industry events, using the opportunity to network and interact with potential candidates
Act as an advocate of Team17 across all digital and offline channels, both on company pages and your own professional profiles
Develop a knowledge of the national and international games industry, staying aware of key developments and changes that could affect the availability of talent
Establish and grow your networks to discover and attract diverse and desirable talent to join Team17

Stakeholder Relations

Build and establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and assist with their resourcing requirements
Support the Talent Acquisition Manager to continually develop the talent acquisition model at Team 17, to ensure that the department is able to adapt to changes in the business and wider industry

Desired Skills and Experience

Demonstrated ability to be resourceful in finding both active and passive job seekers
Excellent communication skills and proven experience in building relationships with candidates and hiring managers
Excellent attention to detail and process oriented
Results driven and strong team player
Prior experience of working in an in-house Talent Acquisition function, preferably within gaming or a peripheral industry
Skilled in direct sourcing techniques with a knowledge of Boolean search variables, as well as other innovative ways of sourcing talent – ideally in the video game market
