Project Managers (Financial Services) - Permanent and Fixed Term Contract Opportunities
Wesleyan are now recruiting experienced Project Managers to join our Transformation/Change department at our head office in Birmingham City Centre.
Our Project Managers are responsible for the delivery of one or more of the Wesleyan’s Business Change projects. To achieve this, our Project Managers are passionate about quality, about delivering on a right first time every time basis, about teamwork, and they have the ability to influence to all levels and across all areas of the business.
Is this the role for you?
Our project managers are responsible for full end-to-end delivery of projects throughout the complete project lifecycle. In addition, you will demonstrate:
Full understanding of the specific scope of each project and ensuring the appropriate project team and structure is mobilised to ensure its timely and successful delivery
Building robust, detailed business cases, including the clear identification and ownership of benefits to be delivered by their projects
Securing appropriate budget to deliver their projects and maintaining tight cost control throughout the lifecycle
Ensuring that the Wesleyan’s project life cycle is followed, and all governance requirements are adhered to (including the effective identification and mitigation of project risks)
Developing and maintaining detailed plans, adopting appropriate management processes to track milestones effectively and project progress, and for the early identification of issues and any necessary countermeasures
Building strong relationships with the project sponsor and all other key stakeholders and ensuring timely communication throughout the project
Our current PM opportunities focus on areas such as product & pricing, group regulatory compliance and strategic capability relating to distribution/advice charging. To succeed in the role we would seek previous experience in one or more of these areas.
Are you the right person?
As a highly skilled, commercially aware PM you have gained experience in a variety of environments (ideally within financial services but not essential) with a background in organisations of similar size and structure to Wesleyan. You will have exceptional stakeholder management expertise as managing multiple relationships is critical to success in this position, this will be coupled with a confident communication style across all levels including Exec/Board level. You will be able to demonstrate strong planning and estimating exposure with full consideration to the financial implication of changing milestones within a project portfolio, budgets will range from £500k to £1.5m typically. With an appropriate professional qualification challenging others, offering solutions with a creative forward-thinking approach will set you apart from other PM’s.
