This is a new role within our Debt Prevention Team and we are looking for someone who has a pro-active approach and enjoys a challenge. You will be responsible for identifying tenants who may qualify for help under United Utilities Affordability Schemes and help vulnerable tenants register for United Utilities Priority Service. Where additional needs are identified, you will refer to the appropriate service areas or agencies. You will also receive referrals from colleagues within the Rent and Payment Team and other areas of the business.
We are looking for someone with excellent customer focus and negotiation skills as the service aims to support and maximise income solutions for tenants, prevent arrears and sustain tenancies, whilst maximising income for RBH.
You will be responsible for your own casework and require good time management skills.
Do you have:
Excellent customer focus and experience of undertaking income and debt collection services to customers both face to face and over the telephone.
Awareness of welfare benefits.
Negotiation and advisory skills to assist tenants to seek resolutions to their financial difficulties.
Ability to translate customer needs into service delivery and to gather, interpret and relay information.
Database and Microsoft Office skills.
The ability to work flexibly, manage own workload and comply with company targets and deadlines.
