Here at wilko our IT team are looking for a Technical Analyst - Infrastructure to join them based at our Worksop Support Centre.

The Role

As our Technical Analyst – Infrastructure you’ll be responsible for the management, operation and support of the IT Infrastructure services. You’ll provide project support and low-level design support for new solutions as well as subject matter expertise in Backup and Storage technologies, mentorship, training and support for other Technical Analysts within the infrastructure team.

Here are just some of the things you’ll be involved in

Accountable for the delivery and management of the IT Infrastructure along with the Telecommunications services with a focus on being the SME in Commvault solutions and NetApp storage.
Ensuring infrastructure and communication services are available and perform to the agreed service level agreement, quality and budget in accordance with the relevant standards.
Management and continuous improvement of the IT Infrastructure services, server/storage, network, backup/recovery management, telecommunications and all associated infrastructure.
The delivery of project work, providing technical subject matter expertise and implementation responsibility for infrastructure & telecommunication system implementation and upgrades.
Create and maintain low level system designs / plans that ensure new services deliver the desired business outcomes, optimum level of the service and can be supported, maintained in a cost effective and secure way.

Maintain disaster recovery plans for business-critical infrastructure and telecommunications systems & components and demonstrate compliance with appropriate testing.

You'll develop and maintain policies, processes, procedures, and knowledge articles based on recognised best practise to support optimal operation of the infrastructure.
Researching, evaluating and recommending new technologies, skills and solutions to support business productivity, cost reduction and automation.

What we need from you

We need someone who has a minimum of 4 years’ experience performing in an Infrastructure or 3rd Line position within a multi-site business. Your qualification can be from any of the professional bodies such as CCNA, VCP, AWS or ITIL. We need this along with:

Experience and knowledge of Wintel, Virtualisation and Citrix.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Storage Technologies, back up technologies, cloud technologies, Commvault and IT security such as Cyber essentials, SIEM, Penetration testing, hardening, GDPR / Data Protection

Knowledge of IT standards and best practise frameworks across the IT service lifecycle such as ITIL, TOGAF.
Knowledge of delivering highly available, reliable and effective infrastructure platforms that enable business systems.
Experience in failover, high availability, disaster recovery, business continuance.
Experience in version and change control methodology.

Experience of managing IT projects and managing 3rd party supplier relationships.
