Yorkshire Housing Limited

The opportunity:

Our L&OD Manager is taking a period of maternity leave, so we’re looking for a talented and passionate people development leader to join our team for a short, but very important, contract!

This is an exciting and transformational time for Yorkshire Housing. We have a clear vision to be Yorkshire’s first choice for homes and a recognised great place to work along with a new business strategy that puts our people and our culture in a starring role. Reporting to the Head of People and working closely with the Senior HR Business Partner, the interim L&OD Manager will lead a team of L&D professionals responsible for delivering a range of learning, development and change programmes to support our ambitious people and culture plan.

We’re an agile organisation, with colleagues based all over Yorkshire. We believe that work is something you do, not somewhere you go, so we’ve put into place the tools and technology to support people to learn and grow in their roles wherever they might be located. A key part of this role will be to take forward our virtual L&D offer and further develop new approaches to managing, connecting, developing and supporting our people in an agile environment.

About us:

We’re proud to be the largest housing association operating across the whole of Yorkshire. We own and manage more than 18,000 homes and we’re developing thousands more. We’re ambitious and serious about making Yorkshire Housing first choice for our customers, helping everyone to live in a quality home they can afford. We also serious about being first choice for employees and so we’re investing significantly in our systems, ways of working and our culture.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who can influence, lead and create new possibilities, with a focus on delivering genuine business impact and great colleague experience.
You’ll bring significant experience of leading and L&OD functions in organisations that look beyond the status quo.
Naturally curious and an independent thinker, you are prepared to push established boundaries to achieve the best outcome, bringing people with them at every stage.
You’ll have natural gravitas, a systematic approach to planning and managing a diverse workload, and an ability to connect expertly with people at all levels.

What to expect in return:

We are offering a pro-rata salary of £46,232, with generous annual leave and genuinely flexible working in a supportive yet stretching environment, along with a range of other benefits.

Please apply by the closing date of Monday 8th June, 12pm.
