Role: Product Manager - Bagmaker
Ishida Europe is currently looking to recruit a Product Manager - Bagmaker to join the Product Marketing team in Woodgate, Birmingham. You will report into the Snacks Packaging Business Manager.
Purpose of the Role
The role of Product Manager – Bagmaker is to develop and manage the Snacks Packaging product portfolio with a view to growing both revenue and contribution from the product group in line with business targets and goals. This will include managing individual bagmaker product(s) and integrated Snacks Packaging system technologies.
Working in partnership with the Snacks Packaging Business Manager to drive Snacks Packaging business to achieve budgeted volumes and revenues.
Working in partnership with the Ishida Europe Snacks Projects Engineering Design team and Ishida Japan European Group to deliver customer defined Snacks Packaging solutions accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Analysing the market and understanding customer problems and opportunities for product range development.
Completing regular reviews of the competitive landscape ensuring that any development and/or tactical activities are responded to appropriately.
Analysing the market to understand both the TAM (Total Available Market) and SAM (Serviceable Available Market) and also our market share within this.
Working with the sales channels to develop suitable processes and structures that maximise the potential of our products in the market.
To champion the product range within the business and act as a technical focal point supporting both external and internal customers in addressing any product range enquiries.
Liaising with the CPQ team; adding new models (with performance, options and pricing mapping) into CPQ and helping manage user feedback and improvements.
Assisting with enhanced promotions of Snacks Packing equipment by liaising with the marketing promotions team.
Preparing new product bulletin updates and deploying them.
Assist in preparing monthly reports and board reports including regular order performance monitoring and trend analysis.
To complete presentations and demonstrations of the products in support of the sales channel within the market.
Attend exhibitions and conferences in support of both sales and brand development around the product range in the market on a needs basis (with possible international travel).
Meet customers and listen to their needs as part of new product development where required.
Assist in launch planning of new Snacks Packaging equipment in close cooperation with Ishida Japan.
What skills are we looking for?
You will have experience as a Product Manager within B2B capital equipment environment, have an Engineering qualification and a good understanding of modern marketing tools. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to interpret technical information such as electrics or mechanics. It is essential to be an innovate thinker, solution focused and have experience of supporting key stakeholders/departments on product launches and product upgrades.
