OneFamily has a new opportunity for a Pensions Simplification Expert to join the Commercial Department, currently available as an FTC for 4 months.
We are looking for someone with deep pension experience, particularly in the area of wind-ups, transfers or other scheme simplification, who is adept at understanding information quickly, and building relationships with subject matter experts within OneFamily and our advisers. A strong knowledge of the pensions market and potential partners is important.
This role will be taking the lead on a deep dive investigation into our current pension schemes. You will also share recommendations on options for simplification of our pensions, which meet the needs of OneFamily and our customers. You will validate the viability of these options from a regulatory, cost and treating-customers-fairly point of view. Additionally, you will explore and make initial recommendations on simplification of our other small book (annuity and protection) products.
During the current lockdown situation, it will mean that you will work from home, potentially with a small number of trips to our main office in Brighton, or to meet potential partners (depending on government lock down relaxation plans). And therefore, you need to be comfortable operating remotely and using virtual tools.
To rationalise pensions legacy propositions and conduct initial solution identification for rationalisation of other legacy books.
One Family has a small book of occupational and personal pension schemes which may not be appropriate for the needs of the business and scheme customers going forward, and we are therefore looking to rationalise or simplify this book. Additional drivers for rationalisation are to reduce operational complexity and risks of holding these legacy books.
