You are proud to care…join Colten Care and make a difference

By joining us as a Senior Nurse, you will be part of our amazing, multi-award-winning team, providing the highest standards of care and comfort to our residents supporting their health and wellbeing – making a difference. And right now, we are looking to recruit more key workers like you to join us.

We have immediate Senior Nurse positions available, all with the prospect of further career progression, so if you have up-to-date clinical skills and at least two years’ experience why not talk to us? You’ll be joining a long-standing beacon of excellence in older person’s care, recognised as the UK’s highest rated ‘Large Care Home Group’ on the public review site (rating awarded March 2020).

Not only that, when we surveyed our Nurses in 2019, 96% told us they felt valued and had the variety and freedom to provide consistently good care; 96% felt Colten Care put residents first. 97% felt they were well equipped to confidently lead their teams and 97% felt that Colten Care was a well led company, able to deliver excellent clinical care with compassion and heartfelt commitment.

So, what does the job involve?

Working within a close-knit team of Nurses and Carers, you’ll be responsible for the health and wellbeing of residents, applying sound clinical judgement to manage a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions. You will lead and enable colleagues to provide outstanding, evidence-based, individualised nursing care, regularly updating person-centred care plans.

We will expect you to demonstrate strong leadership and clinical excellence within the nursing team; role modelling and promoting best practice in wound management, nutrition, tissue viability, end-of-life care and other essential clinical interventions. You’ll proactively engage in the development of Nurses. Trainee Nursing Associates and Healthcare Assistants, improving the skills and confidence of the team to ensure clinical excellence is delivered in line with the company’s standards and those of our regulators.

In return, we will support you in so many ways. Unlike some other providers, we offer excellent staff ratios and clinical training. As well as fellow Nurses, you have the reassurance of working directly alongside Senior Care Leads with 24/7 on-call support from other Clinical and Quality experts and a dedicated Admiral Nurse team supporting our dementia care communities. Our extensive university partnerships generate opportunities not only for first, second and third-year student nurses, but also those colleagues keen to progress their careers studying as Trainee Nursing Associates.
