During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been focussing on essential and emergency works only to ensure the safety of both our colleagues and customers. As we look to move forward, and as part of our recovery programme, we are looking to increase our staffing capacity on a fixed term basis to enable us to complete the backlog of non-emergency responsive repairs with effect from September 2020. We are therefore looking to recruit Gas Technicians / Heating Engineers on a 7 month fixed term contract to support with this project.

About the role:
As part of our recovery plan, we are looking for experienced and qualified Gas Technicians to support the repairs team to help clear a backlog of works. You will be responsible for completing gas and heating servicing to the required standards and in accordance with H&S requirements to ensure that legal obligations and customer satisfaction are achieved.
The successful candidate will have a similar experience of working in a gas/heating maintenance environment with an emphasis on health and safety, industry standards and customer service.
You will be required to use your initiative to find quick and timely solutions and have excellent customer service skills whilst working to set timescales.
You are flexible with a full driving license.
You will ensure that all work is completed to a high standard in accordance with health and safety legislation and safe working practices. You will be working to a schedule of works and will be expected to provide regular updates on progress to your Supervisor.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant domestic gas qualification (ACS) and previous experience of working in a similar role would be beneficial.
Experience in Commercial, LPG and Solid fuel would be advantageous.
As a vital member of the team, you will be passionate and motivated to consistently deliver a high-quality service, demonstrate flexibility and be able to prioritise workloads to deliver an efficient service.
