During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been focussing on essential and emergency works only to ensure the safety of both our colleagues and customers. As we look to move forward, and as part of our recovery programme, we are looking to increase our staffing capacity on a fixed term basis to enable us to complete the backlog of non-emergency responsive repairs with effect from September 2020. We are therefore looking to recruit Electricians on a 7 month fixed term contract to support with this project.

About the role:
As part of our recovery plan, we are looking for experienced and qualified Electricians to support the repairs team to help clear a backlog of works. Your main responsibilities will include: complete repairs to ensure that our properties are maintained to a high standard; carry out electrical installation service and maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner and carrying out electrical Inspection and testing of our portfolio.
Your knowledge of the electrical trade will ideally be vast, and you will be used to completing tasks to a high standard.
You will be used to using your initiative to find quick and timely solutions and have excellent customer service skills whilst working to set timescales.
You are flexible with a full driving license.
You will ensure that all work is completed to a high standard in accordance with health and safety legislation and safe working practices. You will be working to a schedule of works and will be expected to provide regular updates on progress to your Supervisor.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant electrical qualifications and previous experience of working in a maintenance/construction environment. Also shown competence working as an electrician to the current 18th Edition of BS7671
Qualified to NVQ level 3 or C &G equivalent and desirably hold the AM2 qualification.
As a vital member of the team, you will be passionate and motivated to consistently deliver a high-quality service, demonstrate flexibility and be able to prioritise workloads to deliver an efficient service.
