We’re looking for an ambitious communications professional to take the lead on corporate communications as part of a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

You’ll play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of successful corporate PR programmes and campaigns, drafting press material and media comments, and helping steer our day-to-day approach on social media with line management of our digital communications specialist.

This will involve developing and implementing stakeholder and media strategies, and maintaining relationships with local and industry journalists to continue building the reputation of our business. You’ll have first-hand experience of securing thought leadership opportunities through speaker placements, comment pieces in the press and the ability to produce winning award entries.

With experience gained in-house or agency, you’ll bring a keen understanding of the news agenda and of story generation, and have a talent for writing with the ability to produce content for diverse audiences and channels whether that be press releases, blogs, tweets, and speeches. Strong event management experience is desirable along with a proactive, ‘can-do’, collaborative approach.

Ideally you’ll hold a degree or other relevant professional qualification.
