Are you positive and creative? Could you support people with learning disabilities, helping them live life on their own terms? No experience needed.
You'll be working as a Support Worker in Flitwick, near Bedford, supporting adults with a learning disability or autism. You'll support people to enjoy their favourite hobbies, both at home and out and about as lock-down begins to lift. You'll help them learn new things and live as independently as possible.
You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. This is a full-time role - 37.5 hours a week.
Some people will require your assistance with intimate care or medication. They can display challenging behaviour and need help to manage their emotions. We will provide you with full training and back-up from our specialist teams and your colleagues.
What we need from you
You don't need experience, as we provide a full induction and free training programme. What's important is that you share our values, have a positive approach and are willing to learn. However there are two essentials:
We are only able to accept applications from females, due to the personal care needs of the women we support
You MUST be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
