Could you support people with a learning disability to live more independently? Would you like to make a difference that lasts long after the end of your shift? No experience needed.

You'll be a Support Worker in Flitwick, near Bedford, supporting adults with a learning disability or autism. This is a part-time role, working either 2 or 3 shifts a week - we can discuss this at interview. You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

You'll support people to enjoy their favourite hobbies, both at home and out and about as lock-down begins to lift. You'll help them learn new things and live as independently as possible. Some people will require your assistance with intimate care or medication. When struggling to communicate, people can display behaviour you may find challenging. We will provide you with full training and back-up from our specialist teams and your colleagues.

What we need from you

You don't need experience, as we provide a full induction and free training programme. What's important is that you share our values, have a positive approach and are willing to learn. However there are two essentials:

We are only able to accept applications from males, due to the personal care needs of the men we support
You MUST be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
