Industry Placement Coordinator Assessor - Childcare

Part-Time, Term Time Only (40 weeks, to be agreed with Line Manager),

37 hours per week, Permanent

£18,530.51 - £22,279.16 per annum (actual salary)

The Industry Placement Coordinator Assessor, Childcare, liaises closely with students, curriculum delivery areas and employers, and has a vital role in assessing childcare student’s development in their work-placements to

ensure they achieve their learning goals. The ideal candidate will have the communication skills to build strong relationships with learners and employers, together with the knowledge and qualifications to assess learner’s work and

closely monitor their progress.

Responsibilities include:

Organising, coordinating, assessing and monitoring learners whilst they are on their work-placements.
Supporting and recording the progress of students in their workplace and liaising with curriculum staff and employers on areas for further development.
Maintaining, reviewing and developing work placement opportunities.
Actively recruiting new employers by telemarketing, networking and canvassing to provide work placements for students.
Work with the Industry Placement Team to achieve set recruitment targets.

The role involves a significant amount of visits to employer’s premises; candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and ideally have their own transport.
