With a target to build over 5,300 new homes for rent and home ownership by 2024, Torus is seeking to recruit an ambitious Group Head of Development Strategy & Programme Management to lead, deliver and monitor our development and sales programmes.
About the role:
You will be responsible for developing and calculating Key Performance Indicators and ensuring that departmental activities comply with relevant Homes England, regulatory, statutory and internal compliance standards. You will lead the strategic relationship with Homes England and Delivery Partners ensuring that Torus effectively delivers under the Wave 2 Strategic Partnership.
You will be part of Growth and Partnerships, a new and exciting function within the Development Team formed in response to the scale of ambition of the group and tasked with delivering on our long term strategic aspirations.
You will also support the Director of Growth and Partnerships to develop and implement multi- tenure Development and Sales Strategies and Area Action Plans, developing and maintaining robust reliable housing market intelligence, insight and research to inform strategic opportunities.
The role requires you to work alongside Development, Sales and Finance teams to monitor performance and provide written and statistical reports to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
You will be an innovative thinker with extensive development experience and knowledge of delivering a development programme as well as developing and implementing development strategies. An understanding of the delivery of the development programme in line with the business plan targets is essential, notably to ensure that Torus successfully meets its Wave 2 Strategic Partnership obligations to Homes England and delivers new housing.
