With a target to build over 5,300 new homes for rent and home ownership by 2024, Torus is seeking to recruit an ambitious Head of Housing Growth & Partnerships to lead the strategic planning and delivery of these ambitions, working alongside the Director of Growth & Partnerships and the Head of Programme Management & Strategy.
About the role:
In this challenging role employed by our Development Company within the Torus Group structure, you will be expected to take a strategic land-led approach to achieving development growth, underpinned by a robust strategy which maximises public and private partnerships to achieve our development ambitions and our corporate objectives.
You will be part of Growth and Partnerships, a new and exciting function within the Development Team formed in response to the scale of ambition of the group and tasked with delivering on our long term strategic aspirations.
You will play a lead role in strategically directing development activity and housing growth to ensure the delivery of the right homes, in the right place, for the right people. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to capture and deliver development proposals that embody the aspirations of the Group. You will play a key role in development and maintaining a development pipeline comprising at least 5,300 new homes over the next 5 years as well as identifying a strategic 10 year pipeline of sites beyond the current Business Plan period.
You will have significant experience of driving and directing strategic land acquisitions/development and place making regeneration projects. A strong track record in housing delivery and partnership working are essential, notably to ensure that Torus successfully meets its Wave 2 Strategic Partnership obligations to Homes England.
