We are looking to recruit an Operator within our Racking Department who will play a key role in maintain an efficient running of production lines on the site.
The site is operational 5 days a week; therefore, a flexible approach is a must to ensure that a consistent level of service is provided to all departments and shifts.
Your job role:
Set up, changeover and operate machinery and other equipment in the area within standard operating procedures to achieve required outputs and quality.
Check and monitor processes making recommendations for any adjustments necessary to achieve product and process specification.
Help solve problems and make suggestions for improvement so that better ways of doing jobs are identified and implemented.
Locate and transport raw material into the grading area and store safely ready for grading.
Fully understand how to safely operate and stop the grading conveyor.
Load the material onto the grading conveyor into portable racks in the required order and in the correct number per shelf.
Label and number each rack as per the grading order, recording the necessary information, and transport the racks to the nominated blast freezer.
Programme the blast freezer to the required temperatures recording the necessary information.
You will need:
Forklift experience / Certificate is an advantage.
Previous line / Cold room experience is an advantage.
6 – 12 months experience in operations / similar work.
Ability to work independently.
Practical / Manual handling skills.
Basic Health and Safety Awareness.
