The Sheffield College is committed to improving the work and life prospects for all learners. It believes in providing a holistic approach to support a student and the Employer Relationship Coordinator role is fundamental to this. This is an exciting post to drive the engagement of employers for work placements and work related projects to enhance the employability and progression opportunities for our students, particularly those embarking on technical level qualifications. The post holder will work with Faculty teams, local and regional employers and other stakeholders to drive the quality and scope of work experience to achieve outstanding student outcomes.

A key aspect is the ability to interact with the learner to jointly identify challenges and find solutions to overcoming barriers to industry placements. You will work closely with curriculum teams, employers and support teams to monitor every learner’s progress. This involves agreeing stretching employability targets with the learner, reviewing progress during their placement via timely 1:1’s and motivating learners to monitor their own placement

Our large, vibrant and diverse Further Education College has four main campuses located across Sheffield. We are proud of our work with employers and how we are meeting local skills needs and transforming lives through learning.

Ideally, you will have extensive knowledge of Health & Safety and experience of leading a team or are looking to take that next step in your career.
