Would you like to be in at the start of something new? Do you have the right qualities to support children and young people who have learning disabilities?

We have recently opened up a residential children’s home in St Albans and are now beginning to build our team of Support Workers.

You’ll be providing support to up to five children and young people, aged 11 to 18, who have learning disabilities and complex needs. As their Support Worker, you'll encourage them to learn new skills, continue their education at school or college, and get out and about in the local community, developing new interests and hobbies. You will need to provide personal care.

Our residential home will be new to the young people, and you will need to be aware of and help support them with their anxieties as they settle in. They are likely to display behaviour that is challenging. We’ll provide full training in positive behaviour support techniques.
