Leeds City College is part of the Luminate Education Group, and one of the UK’s largest FE establishments with around 1440 employees and over 22,560 students. We offer a curriculum as diverse as our students within a vibrant and multicultural learning environment. Our goal is to deliver excellent and innovative education which supports and inspires every student to achieve their ambitions.

Due to continued growth of the SEND provision offered within Leeds City College we are looking to recruit an additional 6 Learning Support Assistants to each work 3 days from 5, 39 weeks per year across our central Leeds campuses. You should have knowledge of SEND and Preparation for Adulthood. The post holder will support students with SEND in their learning both in and out of the classroom. You would identify strategies to promote independence and ensure information on progress is recorded accurately. It is essential that you want to work with young people whom have leaning difficulties and/or disabilities and support them to be the best they can and achieve their aspirations. If you would like to be a member of an OUTSTANDING (OFSTED) SEND department and be part of a growing team, with opportunities for progression this could be the job for you.

Please use the person specification (on the job description under "Documents Available") to complete your supporting statement.
