A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Cafcass for a bright and energetic individual to work in the Chief Executive’s Office Team as an Business Services Officer.

You will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive, effective and efficient support to corporate functions and the executive/non-executive teams, working with colleagues to contribute to the achievement of the team’s objectives.

As an Business Services Officer you will directly support the Chief Executive’s Office and the responsibilities of this role will include:

To provide an understanding of the commitment to safeguarding children within the organisation, and to support and contribute to organisational wide activities to meet statutory and professional responsibilities regarding safeguarding children;
To provide support during meetings, meeting and greeting visitors, and provide support with minute taking for internals meetings as required;
To assist with diary management, making travel arrangements and booking hotels, for the Chief Executive where required and arranging other commitments to facilitate priorities;
To support the Executive Assistant with event planning and organisation;
To support Senior Manager(s) to manage communications with internal/external agencies in a timely manner.

Let us tell you a bit about what we’re looking for from the ideal candidate for the role of Business Services Officer. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate;

A minimum of NVQ2 (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards;
It could be advantageous to be a recent graduate however this is desirable;
A high level of attention to detail with the ability to input onto databases accurately and in a timely manner;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and managing a busy workload;
Highly organised and able to work methodically and in line with relevant systems and procedures;
An ability to competently use a wide range of Microsoft Office packages particularly in the areas of Word, Excel and Outlook;
Ability to plan and complete work to agreed timescales.
