The ESOL department at LCC has been validated a grade 1 department for the previous three years. There are high expectations of staff, students and managers. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative teacher in ESOL. The successful candidate will need experience of teaching 14-18s, and with a good background in teaching English language. Experience of teaching low level numeracy is also an advantage. Teaching responsibility will be with 16-18 learners at one of our centres on Roundhay Road, LS7. Additional teaching of adult groups at our community venues may be required with a maximum of teaching two evening sessions per week. A subject specialist qualification in teaching second language acquisition is required as well as a PGCE. You will be passionate about your subject and have the ability and desire to enthuse others. You will be organised and experienced in course administration and have high expectations of both yourself and your students.
