The purpose of this role is to facilitate a 12 week well being programme aimed at groups of parents and siblings who have a child/sibling with mental health needs. Developing and delivering training directly to parents and siblings which is aimed at improving their mental wellbeing, coping strategies, self-management, challenging stigma and promoting peer support networks. One on one support will be provided to parents and siblings accessing the project. Parents and siblings will be mentored and trained to become peer mentors who can help with the delivery of the project. You will supervise , support and provide development opportunities for parents and siblings volunteering as peer mentors. Contributing to the development of Platfform’s training provision and online resources for parents and young people. Working alongside parents and young people to enable them to shape the content and themes of our training through regular engagement activity.
