Kindertons Accident Management have an exciting opening in our IT Team, for an experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer, to join our office based in Crewe.

As the Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you are responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, maintenance and improvement of the corporate IT Infrastructure (Desktop, physical & virtual server estate, Local Area/Wide Area MPLS network and any other associated IT infrastructure) of the Kindertons Group of companies.

We are looking for someone who is well organised and capable of multi-tasking, with a meticulous attention to detail. You should be confident and able to work without direct supervision. Working closely with other team members. You should be organised and able to prioritise and reprioritise when needed.

You will need:

Excellent interpersonal skills, ou will communicate with various individuals in the role, therefore should be confident to lead a team and liaise with all levels of staff across the Kindertons Group.
The ability to maintain sound and effective working relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

Ensuring availability and performance of IT infrastructure according to SLA's.
Work to continuously improve speed, efficiency and scalability of production systems
Strong Management of IT infrastructure projects.
Working with external service providers including ISPs & technical partners.
Support for Hyper-V 2016 and Windows server infrastructure.
Support for VMWare environments for both virtualised back end servers and VDI Desktop environments (Horizon View)
Strong knowledge of the Cisco UCS platform
Support for Cisco/HP Aruba based networks and Dell SonicWall firewall.
Support for Group Policy and Active Directory.
Experience with patch management and software deployment technologies.
Experience with Microsoft Azure.
Experience with PURE / NetApp storage systems.
Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
Support of cloud infrastructure such as Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
Ensure any incidents/downtime is minimized and normal service is resumed ASAP.
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of production systems.
Use of monitoring, metrics, and logging systems such as PRTG and Kiwi SysLog Server.
Offering consultancy to internal and external customers including system design and specification.
Offer advice and guidance to the business in relation to new infrastructure deployments.
Installation and maintenance of hardware across the desktop, server, network and storage platforms.

Experience and knowledge required:

Microsoft Azure & Office 365 cloud platforms (including private cloud).
Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching knowledge (Cisco/HP Aruba preferred).
Microsoft Windows Server from 2008 to 2016 (MCSA/MCSE preferred)
Administering Active Directory, Group policy, DNS & DHCP
Administering Firewalls (Dell SonicWall preferred).
SAN administration experience (NetApp / PURE preferred).
WAN/LAN networking experience gained in a multi-site MPLS environment.

Due to the nature of this role – UK Travel is requested to other company sites, you must have a full UK driving licence.

Hours – Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm
