SPD are currently recruiting for a Supply and Initiatives Operations Planner to be responsible for ensuring supply of goods to all customers across Asia and LATAM, meeting customer service, inventory and cost targets. Based in Bedford (UK), you will lead the development of production plans in collaboration with the manufacturing sites and headquarters in Geneva (CH) and you will lead initiatives for those regions. This role reports directly into the Supply Network Operations Leader who is based in Geneva.
This role is a full-time, fixed term position up to 12 months.
Follow up customer orders on an on-going basis
Develop supply plans for all Asia and LATAM markets to deliver customer service and inventory targets
Validate forecasted orders for Distributors and communicate them to the manufacturing sites
Ensure production is executed as planned and find solutions for short term urgent requests
Seek and resolve issues such as schedule conflicts, material availability, or quality problems and escalate where needed
Monitor inventory levels and do regular disposal of non-fit for use products
Manage code creations and masterdata setup for initiatives
Develop production plan for product conversion, including material run-out to minimize cost
Regularly communicate with customers (P&G and Distributors) to understand the business dynamic and specific needs
Support process optimisation via suggesting continued improvements
Lead Initiatives for Asia and LATAM
Experience in supply chain management (demand/supply planning) in an FMCG or regulated business environment
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and knowledge SAP R3 preferred
Ability to develop quick knowledge of SPD, our products and our customers
Receptive to working in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
Comfortable managing complex data
Proactive and solution focussed
Strong communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with customers based internationally
Strong collaboration skills - managing interfaces between many organisations
