Here at Concrete we’re making homelessness history, it’s a big statement, but we’re not alone in achieving it. We’re part of the national movement tackling homelessness.

We’re looking for ONE full-time (37.5 hours) or TWO part-time (18.75) Evening Assistant Young Person's Support Worker/s to join our supported housing scheme in Stoke.

You’ll be working during the evening (4-12pm) across 7 days a week, with care leavers and young people in partnership with the YMCA.

We need you to manage our supported housing scheme by making sure our young customers are safe and well in their homes, providing evening activities, ensuring customers are good neighbours in the community, ensuring they follow health and safety guidance and mediating if there are any problems. From time to time you may take emergency referrals, sign-post customers to other services and welcome new customers.

In this role you will be working with customers alone, so we need someone who is flexible and adaptable, who is self-motivated and calm under pressure. Ideally, we are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working with young people, mental health, safeguarding and someone that can understand the barriers young people face.

We do things a little differently at Concrete, we’re not defined by boring industry job titles, so this role is called Assistant Development Coach in our organisation.

The successful person for this role will need to be DBS checked.

Help us to give those without a plan, voice or home to build concrete futures by tackling the issues that keep people from finding their own home.
