Our Client, a insurance company, are looking to appoint an Underwriter. The Role Acting as a key point of contact for the Company on a daily basis, interacting with clients, dealing with client requests, management of client accounts and interacting with other key Company departments to address client requirements. Managing underwriting information flow for key client projects, collecting technical, financial and project information and ensuring comprehensive electronic records are maintained. Working with all Company departments, particularly Sales & Technical, to ensure the information flow for client projects is managed effectively from initial contact through to completion. Preparing corporate technical & financial ratings for underwriting risk assessment and ensuring sufficient information is obtained to carry such ratings out, ensuring full audit trail details are maintained. Co-ordinating & assessing client registration information, assisting with the issue of terms of business and maintaining annual renewals. Collating, compiling and assessing key project information and producing initial pricing indications and subsequent formal binding terms for clients with specific policy and compliance information, ensuring full audit trail details are maintained. Assisting with the preparation of cover notes, insurance certificates and other insurance information required for projects. Requirements Experienced administrator preferably with a formal education. The candidate should hold at least a Higher / A Level in English and preferably Maths. Previous experience of insurance underwriting would be a definite advantage. Excellent communication skills essential. Ability to converse confidently with people - excellent written & spoken English with a keen eye for detail is absolutely essential for the role. Excellent telephone manner & ability to remain calm in all situations. Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual able to work independently and unsupervised/integrate well as a team member and generally possess a flexible attitude. Exceptionally well-organised individual with the ability to prioritise workload with flexibility to multi-task. Highly IT literate and competent, experienced user of all Microsoft Office software - high level of competence expected in both Word & Excel.

You will have prior experience of engineering drawings and IATF 16949. You will hold a degree in Science or an engineering discipline. You will process motor trade accident claims as part of the company's claims management procedures working within and providing support to all areas of the operations department. You will achieve and maintain the company service standards whilst completing regular updates to clients regarding the progress of their claim. You will investigate each claim for accuracy of information and verification of the facts to establish liability, liaise with others to discuss liability, liaise professionally with all relevant parties such as repairing garages, third party insurance in order to progress the vehicle hire claim.
