Around each Village, the Food and Beverage department employs around 350 team members across nine different restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as a production kitchen. Working to the highest standards and in an environment that combines popular menus and quality food with the very best in service. HOURS OF WORK You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. You will be required work mainly evening shifts Tuesday - Sunday and some public / bank holidays on a rota basis. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and the desire to learn and develop. Previous experience within a kitchen environment would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. It's a wonderful time of the year and at the heart of their experience is Santa. Every year at Whinfell Forest, he sees thousands of children and each time they leave with smiles on their faces. From the moment you step into the red suit you'll be totally focused on the job at hand, regaling stories from the North Pole and asking children about their Christmas list. Whatever question they ask, you'll ensure that the magic is sprinkled and the anticipation of Christmas Eve heightened. Your confident, kind and jolly nature will be backed by the ability to say "Ho, Ho, Ho" with plenty of enthusiasm. You will also need to be able to engage and build a rapport with people of all ages. In this role, you will welcome guests in a positive, friendly manner and ensure that they are served quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Other responsibilities will include baking morning goods and hot foods and ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy. Previous experience of working within a retail environment would be beneficial, however full training will be provided. This is a busy department, so the ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure will be required. HOURS OF WORK You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each 4 week period. Reporting to the Buildings Asset Manager you will be responsible for planning and delivering an allocated portfolio of capital projects ensuring that projects are delivered within budget, within the relevant timescales and according to operational requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as you will regularly liaise with internal stakeholders and generate management information which you will report back to the senior management team. HOURS OF WORK You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal Head Office working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however flexibility will be required as significant business travel and overnight stays are a key requirement of this role.
