You will be required to work in partnership with the Child's Social Worker and the team around the child, to assess the needs of children with an adoption or long term fostering plan, establish the capacities or qualities of the permanent family required, undertake the search work to identify that family and establish a strong "match". Once the match is identified, the Family Finding Social Worker leads on the matching report and support plan, the presentation to panel for approval, the co-ordination of the child's preparation and the transition planning. The Family Finder's work ends at the first post placement review. You must have at least 3 years' experience in children and families social work. The successful candidate will join a well-established, experienced and stable team who value good working relationships and the support that comes from them. The team benefits from fortnightly team meetings in which organisational updates are provided in addition to opportunity for reflection and practice discussions. The team manager is visible with an open door policy.
