Giggleswick School is a co-educational day and boarding school situated in the stunning rural location of the Yorkshire Dales, within walking distance of the popular market town of Settle, and just over an hour from both Leeds and Manchester.
We are currently seeking a Marketing Officer to join our External Relations team, who will promote the School in our key local, national and international markets. You’ll raise awareness of the School, generate enquiries and manage a programme of communications, events and activities to effectively engage with all our stakeholders including prospective families and pupils, parents, alumni, feeder schools and overseas agents. Using your already honed marketing and communication skills, you will organise promotional campaigns online and offline, co-ordinate our promotional literature and there is a strong focus on PR and publicity, telling the real stories of our pupils, alumni, parents and staff with all-important live reporting on all the important news and events as they happen at school.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will have strong communication, copywriting and editing skills including the ability to tailor content and format to different audience needs, including digital media. You’ll be organised and efficient with the ability to use your initiative and work with minimal supervision. You’ll also be thorough in your approach with a keen eye for detail and a natural willingness to work as part of a team. A marketing or PR qualification would be preferred as would experience of using desktop publishing, email marketing programmes, digital platforms and web content management systems.
