About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Manager to help us deliver excellent quality works including new build construction and major refurbishment projects. This will involve effectively managing and motivating our Site Managers and in-house trade team in addition to Subcontractors, Utility Companies, Architects and Engineers. You will also be required to take full ownership and responsibility for health and safety management on all sites.

Drawing on your vast construction experience, you will monitor performance and progress to safely deliver high quality projects on time and to budget. Committed to continuous improvement, you will lead the review of all sites and implement improvements in the construction process. An exceptional communicator, you will liaise effectively with colleagues, stakeholders and our residents to ensure excellent customer satisfaction throughout the service provision.

With significant experience of working in construction in a management position, you will be able to demonstrate a full understanding of Construction Health and Safety Law and commitment to implementing a safe workplace. An excellent manager of people, resources and budgets, you will be educated to degree level or possess an equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience. This challenging role would suit a highly organised Manager who can thrive under pressure and prioritise effectively to meet strict time deadlines without compromising on quality.

A flexible approach to travel and working hours is required to attend occasional meetings, external conferences and other events. You will need a valid driving licence and a suitable vehicle that is insured for business purposes in order to travel between company sites.

Appointment rate will be dependent on experience and qualification and subject to satisfactory performance, incremental progression may be available on a two-yearly basis.

Employees must have satisfactorily completed 16 weeks of their probation period before being considered for other posts within the organisation.
