Severn Vale Housing is a social housing provider, owning and managing circa 3785 properties and providing services to over 5000 customers across Gloucestershire.
We are currently looking for an experienced people manager to provide leadership to our Contracts and Commercial team in Tewkesbury.
The role will act as the ‘contractor’ function representing the interests of our organisation by managing both the in-house teams and subcontractors which include budget management and quality of services, also supporting a small team on the Non Social Housing aspects being Market rents and Student portfolio.
It will be your responsibility to ensure the Day to Day management of the operational teams ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, legislation, health and safety and best practice. You will lead and manage operational staff to ensure a high standard of works are achieved within set budgets.
You will be involved in the preparation and implementation of our annual Planned Maintenance delivery, advising on programmes of works relating to the long term maintenance and improvement of our property portfolio.
With senior level experience of managing relevant operational teams, you will have detailed understanding of relevant legal, regulatory, operational and strategic management issues such as CDM and health and safety regulations. You must have demonstrable experience of programme and project management, budgetary control and performance based management in a customer focused service organisation.
