About us:

Our purpose is to protect the public by regulating dental professionals in the UK. All dentists, dental nurses, dental technicians, clinical dental technicians, dental hygienists, dental therapists and orthodontic therapists must be registered with us to work in the UK. The support and experience of our dedicated and highly focused teams is invaluable. This is your chance to build on your own skills and experience and make a worthwhile contribution to our work.

About the role:

We require an experienced Programme Manager to manage, lead and progress the GDC’s estates programme. The GDC is opening a new office in Birmingham and will be relocating c90 jobs from late 2018 through to early 2019. You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure critical activities such as setting up the new building, recruitment, I.T and facilities are delivered on-time and within budget.

You will be required to respond to urgent organisational demands swiftly and with minimal direction, while managing and leading programme/project teams to deliver shared goals and objectives for the project.

Experience of similar relocation projects would be an advantage.

About you:

The successful candidate will have experience of project and programme management and an understanding of key methodologies/strategies in these areas. (Prince 2 and/or MSP desirable).

Evidence of successfully leading programmes and projects and delivering significant change initiatives, including people and cultural change, is also required.

Effective time management, demonstrable initiative, logical thinking and problem solving with the ability to work independently across sites will also be key to success.

The GDC is committed to equality and diversity. We encourage and support the recruitment, retention and career development of people from as wide a range as possible of ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds.

Benefits:

To reward you for your hard work and commitment, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes a generous pension scheme, flexi-time and 25 days’ annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
