Christian Action Housing are an established North London Housing Association, working across four boroughs - Enfield, Barnet, Haringey and Waltham Forest. Our purpose is to identify local needs, to respond to these needs with local solutions and to provide excellent services. We invest in high quality housing, support and services that are affordable and accessible to those in housing need.

We currently employ 80 staff in a variety of roles within our Head Office in Enfield and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking to recruit an Interim HR Advisor to work alongside the Head of HR and Learning and Development Advisor to deliver our HR departmental plan over the next year. This includes working on some exciting projects such as the roll out of a management development programme, establishing a staff forum and further development of employee engagement and recognition schemes.

Alongside this you will provide business specific advice to managers on staffing matters including performance management, employee relations and policy and procedure. You will build positive relationships across the organisation and provide a coaching and partnering approach to upskill, problem solve, suggest improvements and solutions.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a similar, generalist role and organisation. The ability to give pragmatic, business focused advice with a strong understanding of employment legislation and practices is essential. You must be a confident user of IT particularly MS Office and have some knowledge of HR databases.
