Reports to: Head of Learning and Development

Location: All Colten Care Locations (based at Colten House, Ringwood)

Salary: Circa £38,500 p/a, plus car allowance of £4,500 p/a, plus benefits

About the job

Joining us as a Learning & Development Business Partner, is a fabulous opportunity to further your professional career by helping to develop a company-wide training strategy championing outstanding care. You will take responsibility for supporting our Colten Care homes and Managers by delivering both on and off-the-job learning opportunities.

As the Learning & Development Business Partner, you will develop close links with our care homes, creating imaginative new programmes for learning and making continuous improvements to existing programmes such as induction and 1st line management training. You will measure what difference learning and training make to the business and support team colleagues with additional training projects; for example, with the introduction of My Learning Cloud, a new e-learning and Learning Management System. Additional responsibilities include writing lesson plans, using Microsoft applications, planning and organising your time to meet the needs of each home and liaising with external training companies.

Based at our brand new offices in Ringwood, the L&D Business Partner role is regional to Dorset, Hampshire, West Sussex and Wiltshire. Occasionally, some evening or weekend hours will be required.

About you

To apply, you will have a relevant qualification in L&D (CIPD) or similar, including a thorough knowledge and experience of L&D. You are a car driver.

You are a flexible, supportive professional, ideally with a background in and understanding of the care sector. You will be a strong relationship manager and ‘coach’, able to collaborate, build and maintain relations with internal and external customers, stakeholders and suppliers. You will have a passion for training and enjoy presenting and delivering. You’ll be creative, able to innovate and take advantage of new opportunities for best practice training, constantly improving our Learning & Development offering to enhance our position as an ‘employer of choice’.
