We currently have an exciting and completely new role available for a Head of Strategic Projects and Change, to develop a Projects department with strong CSIP capability, owning and delivering business related projects across the UK business. These projects will be defined by the Management team and Steering committee in alignment and to support the UGI Trident strategy.
You will be responsible for the design and implementation of the Strategic Projects department including, but not limited to, scoping and assessment of projects for which the department will be accountable, implementation of a robust projects approach, definition of the programme deliverables, alignment with business plans and objectives and identification and implementation of appropriate resource.
This role will have accountability for ensuring projects are run to time, cost and quality and to assist in achieving this, you will develop a high performing team and transform our current working environment from a highly reactive to an efficient, well governed, proactive project driven organisation.
This newly created strategic role requires a highly capable projects/programme manager
who is able to straddle strategic and tactical thinking with hands-on delivery and team building. The successful candidate will likely have demonstrable experience of creating a strong, projects and CSIP combined team with evidential results of success.
We’re looking for a people person with a huge amount of drive combined with positivity, assertiveness, resilience and a flexible and diverse approach. You will have stakeholder management experience and will be highly influential and prepared to challenge project prioritisation and peer groups.
With strong written and verbal communication skills you will have the ability to present well justified and documented process improvements and will have a desire to challenge convention and perception for the benefit of the business.
You’ll be a strategic thinker yet able to deliver operationally with strong decision-making skills and the motivation to further yourself within areas of professional development. You’ll possess commercial and strategic awareness for scale and UGI alignment, have solid experience of full end to end delivery of project lifecycle and experience of full programme delivery. You’ll also possess relevant Project Management qualifications or experience i.e. Prince, PMP, Agile etc. and will be an experienced user of project related IT applications.
National and International travel will be required as well as occasional overnight stays as required.
