The Job

In this role you will deliver a proactive and responsive service to tenants living in sheltered housing, in order for them to maintain their independence, health and enjoyment. Additionally, you will promote and encourage tenant involvement in social activities and wider community involvement and facilitate effective joint working with external agencies in order to maximise tenant welfare.

Working hours are 37 per week, worked over Monday - Friday, (usually this will be 8.30am - 4.30pm).

The Candidate

It is essential the post holder has experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or older people and understands their needs. Experience of working in housing, health or social care is required with knowledge of the welfare benefit system.

The post holder is required to hold a full U.K. driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work with suitable business insurance.

Have a good standard of education including English and Maths and are proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, therefore you will be asked to declare all convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings that are not ‘protected’. The successful candidate will be required to apply for and maintain an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
