Numark, a division of Phoenix Healthcare Distribution Limited has grown to become the largest independent community pharmacy organisation in the United Kingdom, representing over 3,700 members accessing a wide range of products, services and resources.
Reporting directly to the Numark Managing Director, the Head of Commercial and Business Development will be responsible for developing our commercial proposition. They will lead the Commercial and Business Development team and work collaboratively with suppliers to develop compelling commercial offers, including Brand Support deals, Numerics and Enhanced discounts to deliver agreed budget targets.
The successful candidate will drive the execution of high quality Commercial and Business development activities through the recruitment, development, management and leadership of the Numark Commercial and Business development team, whilst ensuring the operational, regulatory and commercial needs of the customer channel are met.
The role will also be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities that enhance the overall proposition including the use of new technology.
The Head of Commercial and Business Development will represent Numark and the Phoenix Group in industry and sector level meetings, maintaining and developing an extensive network of contacts with key partners and suppliers.
We are seeking an established Commercial professional with extensive experience of leading sales, commercial or business development teams. Ideally we’d like you to have experience within the Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical sector or other similar large organisation, with an existing network of contacts. You will have an in depth knowledge of developing commercial propositions, commercial processes and the pharmacy supply chain.
With a relevant qualification (degree or other equivalent), you will also have strong commercial judgment, communication and negotiation skills, as well as being motivated to achieve excellence.
