We’re recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor based in South of Hampshire (covering SO / PO areas with the expectation to cover work in the North of Hampshire when required) on a full time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.
As Electrical Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the line management of a team of highly skilled Electricians & external contractors to ensure that they provide a first-class repairs and maintenance service to our customers. You’ll manage, motivate, develop and support your team to ensure they remain fully skilled, flexible and high-performing. You’ll carry out annual employee performance and development appraisals, identify training and development needs and ensure that training plans are written, actioned and monitored for the team.
You’ll undertake quality inspections to ensure that works are carried out to the required standard and in line with policies, procedures and regulations. Managing departmental budgets is important to this role, ensuring all expenditure is accounted for and minimising unnecessary spend. You’ll also have responsibility for making decisions on repairs actions and materials in line with the principles of ‘Best Value’.
You’ll have City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 (or equivalent), City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 Testing and Inspection and 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, with good working knowledge of all aspects of electrical testing and repairs. Your experience of managing/supervising a team will be highly beneficial to your success in this role. You must hold a full driving licence in order to drive a company van for business travel. This role is subject to satisfactory driving licence check/basic disclosure/essential qualifications check.
